I just wanted to say that I'm thinking about changing webhosts soon, and maybe transferring my domain, not sure. My six months is up on the 30th so I'll have to decide and shop around soon. I kind of want to change everything again, so don't freak out if the site seems down or something.

I've been sick lately, some kind of flu/fever. My head still hurts, kind of woozy. I haven't been sick like this for awhile. The funny thing is, it was after I started eating more fruits. I went about 2 weeks without eating fruits, not because I don't like fruits, I just didn't have any in the fridge and would forget to buy them. I thought I might get sickly then, but I didn't. 3 weeks later, eating fruits, I get major sickness. Great! 3rd day, still a little off.......<: (

What's this??? What's this???? And it's only in Japan because it wouldn't work here. This is droolz. I'm not sure if I would use it...watching tv on the go, but it certainly sounds sexy. And it doesn't only do that too, duh.

September 25, 2007

So, about 2 weeks ago, I applied to be come an AVID tutor for the Capistrano Unified School District, seeing as I hope to work in the same district I went to school with, and our district is pretty nice. Last week I got a call for an interview, and last Friday I drove down to meet them. Their offices are in San Juan Capistrano and at the front desk, I saw my old lunch lady/playground lady...I forgot what we used to call them. The ladies that make sure rules are upheld around school grounds, and you can ask them anything if you have a problem "He won't get off the swings" or "I can't find my lunch money! waaaah". I saw her...and I was like...whoa....and then I looked at her name plate and it was her. I knew her daughter. Actually I specifically remember her daughter being in distress one day, walking up and down a dirt slope, and I asked her what was wrong and she said she lost a necklace that was apparently very expensive and she was freaking. So I helped her for the duration of the recess, but I don't know if she ever found it <: ( I hope she did. I would have said hi to her, but she was busy talking to someone so I just asked another lady for directions to the personnel office.

The interview was really simple @_@. They only asked me why I was interested in this job. And then just talked about the program...what my schedule was...one of the men turned out to be the executive director of secondary education support and said that all the people he's taken care of have gotten teaching jobs at the district, and that being an AVID tutor is extremely good on my resume. yaaay. Thanks to Sean for leading me in this direction. My mom wanted me to just find some typing job at a company. -__-". So, moms are not always right, or give the best advice...at least for this kind of thing.

I went to Disneyland with some in game friends...I don't want to divulge too much, only that it was really fun, very chill, and enlightening.

I was given a packet of things to do to get processed for my job...fingerprints, TB testing, tax paper stuff....ugh.

September 24, 2007

Just wanted to pop in a say I'm still here, I have stuff to update too.

September 18, 2007

Not much has been going on...last Tuesday I went to Disneyland with my parents so I could show them how great the new submarines are. And they are. We waited for about 45 min, and during the wait, the space food cafeteria type restaurant was having a show. Something like "Become a Jedi Master". I tried to watched this show once, but it was taking too long to start or something, so I left. Wow....it's really cute for kids. They bring up about 20 kids up on stage and give them those padawan robes (the brownish woolish robes). Sooo cute! And then the instructor gives them all light sabers, and instructs them on their moves in accumulated order. Like "Right. Right Left. Right Left Down. Right Left Down Head" except he adds shoulders..and legs...just to teach them so they remember it. And then guess what happens??? The white imperial Stormtroopers bust out onto the stage from behind the audience, complete with soundtrack. Shock! And then..the stage rises...and guess who is in it? Darth Vader...and he's seriously like 11 ft tall...I don't know how they found such a tall man to fit in that costume. The instructors huddle the young padawans off the stage onto the side. I was too far away to really hear what was going on, but I think Darth Vader makes a jab at the padawans and the instructor says that they can take him on and Darth Vader accepts. So, one by one, the kids take him on. After each slice on his head (as instructed to the kids), Darth Vader would turn around as if defeated, only to come back with a new one liner "You will not see the end of me!" "Is that all you have?" stuff like that...but cooler. And you know the ending.

Seriously, if you were a kid, wouldn't that be the most fun ever? I was really glad that every kid got their own one on one time with him and they all fought. Great show, I higher recommend that one, especially if you have kids. Can you imagine the pictures? man....I wish this was around when I was a kid....

So this is the house i designed from scratch. Layout and everything, not the actual designing wallpaper and styles, but putting it all together. I took me about 2 hours haha. I looks easy, but there are things like...this can't work, that can't work...that makes it hard. Zen Garden, Hot Springs, Sauna, The two houses on the outer sides are rooms, the house in the middle is a tea and tatami room. The big one in the back is kitchen, living, creativity room. No walls, just a whole big room. You can't see it, but there is a deck that goes out in front and connecting all the houses and by bridge. Inspired by Kenshin and Oh My Goddess...haha. I want one of those decks in my future house....actually I wouldn't mind if it was just like this one.

eek

The deck is covered by snow, so it looks white, but I chose an oaky dark wood.

Sims can now pose in this new expansion. and you get a litte window to place your sims in for your other sim to take the picture. What's funny is, the sim will hold this pose forever if you don't click it off or they don't find something better to do, even after the picture has already been taken. Looks crazy when they are just standing there posing for no reason.

eek

You have to see this. http://www.pokemon-gts.net/ . It's real time trading of pokemon all over the world. You can see what's up and what's being traded, in real time. At least I think it's real time. This is pretty crazy stuff...you can even see they have a ticker up like it's the stock market....the pokemon market....Some people have up their level 100 pokemon...for what?? I don't think I would trade those...even if I had breeded.

eek

Someone over there is a fan of pokemon...and it's the pokemon from 2 years ago. Wow. At least they are entertained. ^_^

EA Games came out with a new expansion for Sims 2...it's called Bon Voyage!! You get to take your sims on vacation now. There are three destinations: Takemizu Village, Three Lakes, and Twikkii Island. Takemizu Village is asian inspired, looks Japanese not entirely. You can learn how to teleport from a ninja!. Three Lakes, I haven't visited yet, but you can meet Bigfoot and invite him into your family. It's like a mountain resort. Twikkii Island is like Fiji, with pirate themes. I tried to learn how to fire dance.

Anyhow..I made the most awesome Japaneseish house ever and I love it. It has custom curved bridged I had to learn the hack for. Here are some pictures.

eek

Mahjong! This is an older version of the house....i made it and it didn't save before it crashed, so I had to build the house again, but it looks better now.

eek

Picnic at the beach! Keanu made hot dogs. Yes, Keanu. He's talking about flowers I guess. <: /...I'm not going to go into that.

eek

I'm on the mast (what do they call that? bird's nest?) playing pirates. Keanu is minding the deck. I don't think I've watched Pirates of the Caribbean enough.

My very own hot springs in my house. Aaaand it's snowing. One day, I want to experience this for reals. I have been able to be in the hot spings in Japan while it was raining (the outdoor hot springs too!) and that was amazing. I am never going to forget that. My next goal would be this...snow and hot springs. ^_^

It's September 11. My memory might be horrible, but that's one date I couldn't even forget if I tried. I think that's all I'll manage to say about that. Oh, and that time flies.

So the videos I posted, I don't think they can be viewed unless you're in my list of people that can view them....which sucks because I don't know anybodie's screenname for youtube. The reason why they are put on private is because there are actual people subscribed to me just because of those videos I put up of Blizzcon. It would be super weird if they expected something actually good from me, and then got random videos of my friends karaokeing? Yeah, I didn't think that was a good idea. Maybe I'll need to set up a different account just for more public postings. Or, just find a different video hosting thingy.

I went to Mitsuwa yesterday....look what I got.

eek

hahaha........I'm such a dork! I saw the box...and I couldn't resist. It's kakashi's mouth cover. It's not really great...I'm sure I could do better....but this just seemed official since I bought it. I need to get his "yo" down. > < This is embarrassing.....

eek

And right next to that item, was this box. Whoooa good quality littly statues...I had to get the Kakashi one. There was sasuke...and Gara...(I still like him lots)...and naruto....and Itachi....I like how I was able to choose, and it wasn't like...a surprise because then I might just have to waste my money. This was only 4 bucks.

Chi chi chi chi chi chidori! Gasp! Cover your eyes! Hide your hands! His sharingan is exposed! dum dum dummmmm

I actually don't watch a lot of anime anymore. I had keep up with the manga for this series...that's all. And now I'm just waiting for the new Eva movies.

In the back you can see I bought the new expansion for Sims2...Bon Voyage! So far I've only gone to the Japanese-like place. I saw a ninja pop out of nowhere while I was eating ramen..and by the time I was finished and walked over there, he was gone. I could have learned how to teleport from him <: /. Hopefully it's not too rare of an event.

I don't think...I've had so much fun, in a loooong time.

Dinner at Bj's with Philip, Sean, Brandon, Wyatt, Bryan, Olivia! And then afterwards, we met Olivia's boyfriend who, I told her, was cute(good job Oliviaaaaa) and she proclaimed to me that she successfully fufilled every girl's dream...to go out with your older brother's friend. I was pleasantly surprised to find out I'm not the only one who thought that way! Phewf.

Sean, Philip, Wyatt ......they are goofy and Sean doesn't like taking pictures.

Then we went to Bryan's house and played a game of Mario Party 8 (it was a lot more fun than the time I played it with Miri and Caroline, maybe because I understand it more now). Theeen...Karaoke!

Hey Ya! haha....the lyrics for the ad libbing part were taken out so...we were going on memory.

I want to flyyyyy awwaaaay yaaaahyaaaaahyaaaaah

I saved the best for last....

I can be your hero baby!!! I can kiss away the pain!!! hahaa....too good.

I'm sad the quality isn't great...I'm pretty sure it's because of the lighting <: (.

So fun........sigh....some people are starting to go back to school though...one by one.....waaah

September 6, 2007

So, my dad has 4 computeres now. His overpriced fully loaded ultralite Sony notebook, and old desktop PC (it's been about 5 years now), iBook, and new iMac. He's spent the last few weeks..mulling over what to do....what programs to transfer over...how he's going to utilize all those computers....which ones to take to taiwan......stuff like that. So he reformats his Sony, something he hates doing because of all the stuff he collects. He also transfers a bunch of stuff onto external harddrives. He's ready to make the shift to a Mac.

Guess what? And I might bask in this longer than I should, but I'm going to bask anyway! Do to my inexperience with Macs, I really can't help him that much. I'm going to admit it, I do wish I knew my way around a Mac just to know, you know...emergency...or just because I don't want to be stupid. So I'm trying to help him..and Macs pride themselves to be so easy to use...my dad cannot figure out how to use his scanner that uses a USB port. So he tells me his dilemma...and the automatic question I ask is....did you install a driver? Heck if i know if Macs use drivers or not. Actually...i probably should look it up on the internet right now..but maybe I will make a fool out of myself for now. So he goes back and a couple minutes later, he comes back and says that he found the driver for mac os, and he tried to install it, but it still doesn't work. Uh.....okay I'll take a look..... but it's almost like operating on an alien that just crashed in my backyard. Does it have lungs? Is there a heart in there? Not to mention that everything is in CHINESE language so I can't poke around and click anything that looks worth figuring out.

So I open the file (which was .dmg @_@) and there are a couple folders in there, and a filed named "installer" with an icon that looks applicationy (rulers..pencils...paper). I double click it..and it's looking for some install location...but it can't find one (!) so there is a button to "add" an install location. At this point I'm like..what....you don't even know where to install yourself...and you want me to do it? How am I supposed to know where you should go....the drivers I know just know what to do. So, trying to maintain myself, I think that I should add the "applications" folder, and hope that's where it should go. It says "install successful" 1 sec later (boy...that was fast...<: / ) and the scanner still doesn't work after a restart. The scanner won't even turn on, the computer doesn't even reconized that something has just been plugged into it, regardless of if it specifically knows what it is. Usually when you plug something like this into a USB port, the computer will be like "hey! you just plugged something in me..let me see if I know what it is". Right now, it's like poking a Snorlax. That's right...I just totally brought in the Pokemon.

Maybe I just totally don't understand Macs, but I tried to be completely fair and unbiased and I tried to figure it out...but

Good Game! -__-"

My dad goes "...so....uh...does Apple make scanners?"

Me: "no, Dad! We're not going to just go out and buy everything Apple makes just so it'll work together. We have this scanner, and we're going to make it work! and no, I don't think Apple makes scanners!!!!"

My dad "...but....our scanner is gray..and there is no picture of a fruit on it......it would be better if it were white too right? It'll match everything...."

Just kidding, my dad didn't say that last part. But he was probably thinking it. Weren't you?? weren't you??

Here are pictures of the problem. Pleeease please please email me if you know anything about this. If I don't figure this out by tonight, I'm going to have to download the manual for the scanner (gasp!) in hopes that it will actually explain something useful (which they usually don't).

I went to an Angels game today against the Oakland Athletics. We lost. hm....it was kind of a lackluster game. And we were supposed to get free thundersticks, but I guess we were too late and they ran out...or they only made a certain amount...either way, we didn't get any <: ( After the game, though, Paco managed to steal some that were on the ground. It was kind of tiring!

So for the past weekend, I have been taking care of my uncle's kitten while he was away in Yosemite. I would drive to his house (takes about 20-25 minutes) and stay the night so I could feed him in the morning. I'm not used to kittens, I've been around dogs more..my uncle used to have a dog. Due to my inexperience with cats, I was kind of hesitant, and I didn't know what to expect. My conclusion...

Kittens are very curious, they want to play with anything that might move, they can jump onto high surfaces that I never thought possible, they like to try to squeeze into the tighest spaces, they are persistant, and are the cutest when mellow. Tigger would bite everything that moved. And even if it didn't move. My feet, hands, hair. He swiped at my face a couple times. He clawed my forehead; I had to stop him before he poked my eye out. Mostly I gave him free reign for somethings that weren't hurting anyone, but when it became too painful for me to bare, I just had to stop him. Once I was telling him not to do something, looking at him straight and sternly in the eye...and he kind of stared at me moving his face back and forth (like a boxer) and then BAM! Right paw attack!. Ow.... he tried to eat my food too...and he licked water out of my glass when he had a full bowl of water. -__-".

The only thing I really enjoyed was when he used his front two paws to step on me..left right left right...too cute. I don't know why he does it, he pads them back and forth with his claws extending as he pressed them. I layed down and let him give me a back massage, haha! That was cute. hm...Why didn't I take any pictures?? @_@

Remember my organizer post? Here is the new one! 2007-2008. With white binding and improved reuseable bookmark. It just keeps getting better. Oh! And the lady that did mine comp'ted the binding fee (5-7 bucks). I have no idea why! Maybe she was lesbian! just kidding. She was super nice. So I ended up only paying for black and white photocopies and the lamination. Total about...hmm...4 bucks. Wow! Let's see what juicy tidbits you can see in this picture...my cellphone...plastic chopstick wrapper from cheap asian fastfood place...my purple toothbrush bracelet I made from heat bending a toothbrush...my Nintendo DS plus Nintendog's screen cleaner....that's it.

I just caught the last 40 minutes of Mr. Holland's Opus on tv and my tears welled up a little. Just a little. It has been brought to my attention before that I c.r.y. too much. I don't think people understand my kind of c.r.ying though. I've had a tendency to c.r.y. since I was little. Emotionally, it's not a huge deal. It doesn't mean I'm weak, I'm just in touch with my senses. I don't think being emotional makes you a weak person;, in fact, you are probably a stronger person for being able to have emotions, understand them, be okay with them, and keeping yourself in check. If someone is seemingly uncaring all the time, maybe they have issues they're just hiding. That's not healthy either right? And be assured, when I c.r.y., it's not the end of the world, it's just evidence that something has had an effect on me. There is nothing huge going on. In fact, when I would c.r.y. when I was little, my dad would simply go "oh my, where is the umbrella? It's starting to pour over here". I'm such a baby, I can c.r.y. just driving in the car thinking about things. What kind of things? Well...I won't say. And no, I'm not bawling on the streets and being a danger to society. Why am I spelling the word with periods in the middle? Because I don't want someone to word find how many times I use that word. And if they word find the word with the periods in it..well...then they have too much time on their hands.

September 3, 2007

It's....so.....hot

I feel like I'm melting....

And I'm not even living in the hotter places...I can't imagine how those people are feeling right now....

Today I went to check on my guinea pig, whose cage is next to a sliding door window.....and he was laying there on his side with his eyes OPEN. Now...I've seen this imagine before....twice...and those two times they were dead. So I kind of freaked....i started at him for 3 more seconds...and i said "Pong pong?!?!" and he jumped up startled as if I had just given him a heart attack. @_@ It was really a shock. I thought he was dead from the heat. But he was probably very close to that...laying there with his eyes open...awake but too lazy to to do anything. Poor thing...he has long hair too.

I want to sit and watch a movie at home...but I think I've watched everything there is.

Too cute! My parents got back from eastern Europe and here are the cutest things ever that they (actually my mom) bought. They are from Denmark and Norway I think...I don't know which is which and my mom doesn't know either. Click for the bigger picture, they are definately too cute. If you look at the troll closely, he's hiding one eye, and peaking out the other.

My contacts have been really blurry all day....is it the weather? I need new contacts...I'm afraid my eyes are going to disease over or something.

September 1, 2007

Ah....another month. Do you know what I think about when I see September? School! Apples, Registration! Teachers! New backpacks, pencils, paper, markers, glue and....bus passes! This excitement I have for school comes from my love for elementary school. The exciting part of starting a new year of school is finding out who your teacher is, and reading down the roster of classmates you have. Then when you go to class on the first day, you size up your teacher and determine if you like her/him or not. Then you look around the classroom and see new faces...people that you'll see almost every day for practically a year. I miss classes where you get to know every single person. From junior/middle school and on, you change classes for every subject for 2-3 months at a time...it's not so tightly knit anymore. In elementary school you know exactly what was going on with people..the dramas, the crushes, the cliques. In college, now, I don't even know who the person sitting next to me is, and I'll probably never see that person ever again anyway. It's kind of sad <: (.

I want to share with you something that I started making every year since college...it's my customized organizer! For years I was tired of the kind that you buy that was so generic had tons of useless pages I didn't need, and was hard to write near the bind of the book. My solution? Make the organizer landscape instead of stupid portrait. That way, your wrist never has to be blocked by binding. Plus, you have more space in the long run (nobody write to the very edge of the binding=wasted stupid space). I might be the only person frusterated with this, but I came up with the solution. This is my latest version from last year. Right after I finish this post, I will get started on the new one.

eek

It's the cutest stationary ever (at the time) that I put together aesthetically (did I spell that right?)

eek

My newest engineering is the addition of the pocket on the back of the cover. Typically I used to stuff papers (directions to places, little notes to self) under the cover where the static of the laminate actually keeps the paper in place. However last year, when I made this, for pure genius and spur of the moment at Kinkos, I added a panel, laminated, and used a scissor (i had no razor blade at the time) and sliced the panel to reveal a pocket inside the laminate. Such a proud moment. It now keeps petty cash, checks, stamps, er....business cards given to me...a flash card of hiragana....The little sticky note sheet I got from sanrio, cut it to size, and added it to the book.

eek

12 months in a layout I actually need. I don't need weekly pages...those are a waste for me. I like to see everything at a glace for one week. I write down when I tutored and who, and homework assignments. If it's too big, I'll write it on the right hand column. I also date when finals are, and holidays.

I have a year at a glace that I have as well, but I don't use it very often. It's nice to have though..only 1 page anyway. Then I have a couple lined colored papers......a little address book page...

Cute right? Together, it costs about 14 bucks. The binding itself cost the most...7 or 9 bucks. The laminate is a couple bucks too. I think it's worth it though.
